David Beckham wore this long-sleeve England home shirt throughout the 2002/03 international season — his final full campaign as England captain before his move from Manchester United to Real Madrid in summer 2003. He wore #7 and captained the side through Euro 2004 qualifying with his characteristic intensity. The metatarsal injury that had threatened his 2002 World Cup participation had healed, and Beckham was leading England's qualification campaign.

Beckham earned 115 caps for England — captaining the side 59 times, more than any other player. This long-sleeve home variant is the less commonly seen version of his 2002/03 England shirt, worn in the autumn and winter qualifying fixtures. A collector's piece from the final season of his Manchester United chapter — worn simultaneously in the white England shirt while playing in the red of United before his Bernabéu move.
