Dennis Bergkamp wore #10 for Arsenal during the 1997/98 season — the year Arsène Wenger delivered the Double in his first full campaign, winning the Premier League and FA Cup. Bergkamp contributed 22 goals and 14 assists from his deep-lying forward role and was named the PFA Players' Player of the Year. His goal against Leicester City in August 1997 — three touches, the last a side-foot finish after controlling a 40-yard pass on the half-turn — is regularly cited as the greatest Premier League goal ever scored.
Bergkamp's Arsenal career (1995-2006) produced some of the most technically refined forward play English football had ever seen — a player whose first touch, spatial awareness and ability to combine with Ian Wright, Nicolas Anelka and Thierry Henry made Arsenal's attack the most admired in the league. His fear of flying limited his European appearances but made his domestic record even more remarkable. This 1998 away #10 throwback is from the Double-winning season.
