Before Randy Moss became arguably the greatest wide receiver in NFL history, he was a multi-sport standout at DuPont High School in West Virginia — the same school that produced Jason Williams. Wearing #40 on the basketball court, Moss was a gifted athlete whose leaping ability, body control and hands were apparent in every sport he played. He was recruited to Notre Dame as a cornerback before a scholarship offer from Florida State eventually set his path toward football greatness.
Moss was selected 21st overall in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings and immediately rewrote the record books — 17 touchdown catches as a rookie, then a record 23 receiving touchdowns in 2007 with New England. His combination of 4.25 speed, 6'4" frame and elite ball-tracking skills made him physically unmatchable in his prime. This DuPont High #40 basketball jersey is from the formative years of one of the most gifted athletes of his generation.
