Nate 'Tiny' Archibald grew up in the South Bronx and attended DeWitt Clinton High School — one of New York's most historic public schools — before his basketball talent earned him a scholarship and eventually an NBA career. At 6'1" and 150 pounds, Archibald was undersized but possessed one of the most complete offensive games in the history of point guards. He wore #12 in high school before the number became synonymous with his professional career.

Archibald achieved something unique in 1972/73 that has never been replicated: he led the entire NBA in both scoring (34.0 points) and assists (11.4) simultaneously — the only player ever to accomplish this double. He won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 1981 and was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1991. This DeWitt Clinton throwback honours the South Bronx roots of one of basketball's most technically gifted players.
